New Resource!!! SCALE has created a set of academic language resources for the majority of edTPA subject areas. These handouts summarize the concept of academic language within the context of edTPA and provide subject-specific examples of language functions, demands, and supports. We encourage faculty/programs to use and share this go-to resource when discussing the role of academic language in edTPA with candidates.
2016-17 Submission and Reporting Dates, Additional 2015-16 Submission and Reporting Window Available
The schedule for all fields for 2016-17 has been posted on edTPA.com. An additional 2015-16 submission and reporting window has also been posted.
Retake guidelines and directions for faculty and candidates have been updated to clarify the current policies surrounding the retakes process. We encourage faculty and programs to share these enhanced resources with any candidates considering retakes.
The summary list of handbook changes is now available for 2016-17. SCALE has released this list as a preview of minor handbook changes for the upcoming year. Full handbooks and templates for use in fall 2016-summer 2017 will be posted at the end of May/early June.
The “Top 10 edTPA Resources” document is now available in the Resource Library. This summary document provides a consolidated list of links to SCALE’s most important edTPA resources for faculty/programs and candidates. This list may be especially beneficial for those who are new to edTPA and gathering materials to familiarize themselves with the assessment. We also recommend that programs/states link to this resource within any online descriptions of edTPA within their state.
