The summary list of handbook changes is now available for 2016-17. SCALE has released this list as a preview of minor handbook changes for the upcoming year. Full handbooks and templates for use in fall 2016-summer 2017 will be posted at the end of May/early June.
The “Top 10 edTPA Resources” document is now available in the Resource Library. This summary document provides a consolidated list of links to SCALE’s most important edTPA resources for faculty/programs and candidates. This list may be especially beneficial for those who are new to edTPA and gathering materials to familiarize themselves with the assessment. We also recommend that programs/states link to this resource within any online descriptions of edTPA within their state.

Join us in welcoming New Jersey’s educator preparation programs and P-12 partners to the edTPA community of practitioners. On December 16, 2015, the New Jersey Department of Education announced that edTPA was approved as the performance assessment required for all candidates seeking the Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS, formerly "traditional-route"), and for Certificate of Eligibility (CE, formerly "alternate-route") holders seeking the Standard Certificate.
Georgia’s inclusive approach to statewide implementation of edTPA is featured in this month’s issue of The State Education Standard. "Not only has edTPA changed how Georgia’s educators think about teaching and learning, it has built bridges and stronger partnerships across the state’s education community," the article says.
